God has known me since I was in my mother’s womb. He has a unique plan for my life. But sometimes things get in the way and I don’t always follow his plan. Things like insecurity, selfishness, wanting to do my own thing and not God’s thing. And how do I even find His plan?
These are questions we all ask. I am still asking them as an adult and my children are asking them as well. We as parents have a responsibility to mentor our children and in particular we are called to pray for our children. (Lamentations 2:11)
Some of the scriptures I find helpful to pray over my children as well as myself are:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your path straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21
Pray that your children develop a sensitivity to the direction of the Holy Spirit. This may be the most important thing to help them learn who they were created to be.
What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived-the things God has prepared for those who love him-these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:9-10
What does God say about us? What does He want us to know about why He created us? The link below lists some things all believers should know about themselves. And what if your children knew who they are in Christ at an early age? What if we asked God to reveal these things to them?

These scriptures apply to all believers, not everyone but me. Not everyone who is perfect. God did not forget about any of us when He created us.
Keep on praying for your children. They are worth it.
