Wow!  What a magnificent promise!  The very God who created the universe will hear us and all we have to do is approach him.  Billy Graham said,

“Prayer is simply a two-way conversation with you and God”.

I don’t know about you, but I know that when I homeschooled there were days that I thought I had this.  I thought I could do it all.  And right about that time, things would go haywire.  One of the kids would decide they weren’t going to do their work.  Or maybe the kids would bicker all day long and I wanted to pull my hair out.  Or maybe right about the time you were ready to buy curriculum for the upcoming year and the car would break down.  Have you been there?

This book is a short devotional for the homeschool parent (or any parent for that matter) who feels like they need to pray and maybe doesn’t have the words.  Maybe you’re a new Christian and aren’t sure how to talk to God.  Or maybe you are simply overwhelmed and can’t get the words out or honestly, you simply forgot to pray like I did so many times.

Brave homeschool parent, when we pray the scriptures, we ask Jesus himself to come and dwell with us.  We ask him to fill our hearts and minds with his thoughts and not ours.  He gave us his Word as a means to become stronger.  And when you don’t know what to pray, you can pray a Bible verse and God will hear and respond.

At the end of each daily prayer is a worksheet where you can write in your own personal prayers as you pray for your children.
