As I’ve said many, many times parenting is the most challenging, yet fulfilling and important thing I’ve ever done.
We have good days and bad days when we parent and at times we have more bad days than good. We moms take everything personal. When our child has a trial, we take it to heart. I have spent more sleepless nights that I can possibly count praying for my kids.
When my kids went through a rebellious season, I’d pray and think there is no way–all is lost. And you know what, God was there the whole time and they are both doing well.
Even though we have not had any life-threatening illnesses, we’ve have our share of sickness. I’ve spent many a night walking the floor or rocking a sick baby, praying that they’d be ok and they were.
One of my children had a particularly difficulty time with school work. There again, I prayed and prayed and spent many a sleepless night worrying. And you know what, God came through! We had to repeat some work, but he made it and I am happy to say that he is a literate young man. He’s not an avid reader, but he reads at times and is doing well in life.
The common thread in all of this is that God knows right where you are in your parenting journey. He knows your child and most importantly, He always comes through; it may not be in our timing or exactly the way we want, but He always comes through. And that’s today’s nugget:
“God always comes through.”
Jeremiah 32:17 states, ” Ah, Sovereign Lord, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”
I don’t know what you are going through today, but God does and as Jeremiah wrote all those years ago, “nothing is to hard for you.” So take heart and rest in God’s eternal word!
