Colossians 3:16
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Gratitude, an amazing thing, the act of being thankful or appreciative. It is something we teach our children and we strive for. At Thanksgiving we give thanks for all the blessings we have received. For the last couple of years, beginning Nov. 1st I’ve posted things I am thankful for on each day. This year I went to my facebook page posted my first item and stopped. Being thankful is one thing, but being grateful is “an act”. So this year instead of just posting something, I plan to meditate on it. Meditating is an action!
So during the month of November I encourage you to be grateful and count your blessings!

I like what you say about gratitude being “an act”. I see a lot of lip service this time of year, but are we really meditating on (or even acting on) those things we claim thankfulness for? This post reminds me to stop and really think about my blessings rather than voice a quick thanks and move on. Nice post.
